VIP OPENING H&M ROTTERDAM, MONKI EN WEEKDAY: DE GROOTSTE VAN EUROPA

Na maanden verbouwen, speculeren en warmmakertjes, was het afgelopen woensdag zo ver: De pre-openings party van de H&M slagship-store in Rotterdam. De winkel werd ingewijd onder grote belangstelling van de 800 genodigden, bestaande uit bloggers, media, BN’ers, prominenten uit de fashionwereld en prijswinnaars. Superleuk voor ons bloggers om als 1 van de eerste een kijkje in de nieuwe H&M Rotterdam te mogen nemen.

De avond had als toepasselijk thema ‘Dear Rotterdam’, en daarmee werd een ode gebracht aan de havenstad. Het publiek kon genieten van diverse optredens van onder andere de Rotterdamse formatie Brandwerk en zangeres Szjerdene. Uit Rotterdam afkomstige DJ’s waaronder Pop on Acid, Jeff Solo en Isis Valentine brachten een performance op verschillende verdiepingen in de winkels van H&M, Monki en Weekday.  Vrijdag 17 oktober is de officiële opening en vanaf dan kan iedereen los gaan in de bigass geweldig mooi ingerichte  H&M, weekday & MONKI. Ik heb natuurlijk een aantal uur rondgelopen want oh, oh wat een LEUKE spullen zijn er! Totally in love ben ik op de H&M home afdeling maar uiteraard ik ben more in love met de SCHOENEN afdeling. Want geloof me, de schoenenafdeling is niet wat je van H&M Rotterdam gewend was. De avond zelf was zeer geslaagd, Rotterdamse hapjes, rijk gevulde goodie bags en heerlijke drankjes zorgde voor een sfeervolle sneak-peak. Check hieronder de foto's !

DIY: asymmetrische rok

Op een andere DIY blog kwam ik laatst deze DIY tegen en die wilde ik graag met jullie delen! Ik had een rok die te lang was en (vond ik) me daarom niet stond... dat heb je dus als je niet past in de winkel! Bij m'n kastopruiming wilde ik de rok weggooien maar toen ik deze DIY tegen kwam dacht ik: kan ik proberen en als het mislukt kan ik het alsnog weggooien.

Als eerst wil ik even zeggen dat het echt heel makkelijk is, ik ben namelijk totaal niet handig met kleertjes naaien en recht knippen etc en gelukkig is dat hierbij ook helemaal niet nodig ;)! Alles wat je nodig hebt is textiellijm (dat van mij was op dus ik gebruikte super lijm) en schaar en een lange rok of jurk.

1: Als eerst knip je een strook van de onderkant, zo breed als je zelf wilt;). Deze strook bewaar je even want die gebruiken we weer bij de laatste stap.

2 & 3 : Meet even op wat de helft van de rok is (of doe het zoals ik vanuit de losse pols) , daarna knip je naar de helft schuin af en de andere helft knip je recht af.

4: Als laatst gebruik je de strook van stap 1 en de lijm om deze recht aan te plakken.

Zo makkelijk is het dus... What do you think?

Blogger Battle: followfashion.nl

This month I will compete in a Blogger Battle. The battle is between me and two other bloggers. This week we got a theme and that is: Sporty Chic.

The them that was given was: Sporty Chic. When I heard this was the theme I was very excited, because this is exactly how I would describe my own fashion-style. For the sporty side of this look I chose to wear this grey/black sweatpants from H&M (here) , it has a sporty look but you can go many ways with this pants; wear it with biker boots, loafers, sneakers or, as I did, these two toned pumps (here). The top available at (stradivarius.com)  is a top that is wearable in many ways (crop, off-shoulder etc)  wanted to wear it with this half leather jacket. As some of you here know: my motto is: " Wear black, all day, everyday" which means I don't like to wear a lot of colors, but I do put on ' the extra' with colorful accessorizes and/or shoes. Just like this clutch. (here).

The geometric shapes (necklace, earrings ans shoes) were chosen on purpose.

- When you wear to much jewelry (in this case) I think it's gets 'too much'. So  I went for 'Less is more'. And finally, my hair: Messy curls. speaks for itself: curls got something neat but also something messy/ sporty!

Outfit post: A Day at the Office

So today is workday. I'm working at the office at school now, for three weeks. I like it a lot because I get to be as creative as I want and I have a nice colleague (off course I have more, but there is only one I work with a lot so far). The job is only for eight hours a week but it's enough to learn and (hopefully) deliver ;)!   After work I'll be heading home right away because I'm redecorating my apartment and I can't wait to get it over with! (I have so much stuff to sort out!)

A really short post, but I hope you'll have a nice day! Only two days to go: weeekeendd!!

It has been a while since my last post because I was so busy with the first weeks of school.
And oh, how i miss summer (its raining like crazy in here in  Holland)

All tough I'm still reaaalllly busy and don't have the time to post a longer blog , I wanted to share this with you.
